Capital Tower, iconic place in Cardiff

Published: May 29

The Capital Tower is a beautiful modern building located in Cardiff, Wales. It's located in the heart of Cardiff, less than 10 minutes walking to the city Railway station. The Tower has 24 floors, all of them filled with offices, restaurants and cafes. It's a massive corporative building in the city, but also a place of reference.

The Capital Tower, which name changed when it turned into a building with lots of facilities, was bought and sold several times. It was originally a 12th century fiary which was bought and rebuilt, even though the main structure was conserved. That's why, in the beginning, the building looked old. The first name the building had was Pearl House.

In the Capital Tower a lot of important business companies have their offices, along with the Secretary State of Wales and two hotels. It was bought in 2002 and sold again in 2012, but there hasn't been major changes in the structure, nor internal or external.

The Tower was the tallest building in Wales until 2008. That's a proof that Wales is not supposed to be known as a place with tall buildings, as the Capital Tower has only 80 metres height.

Some more information can be found in the popular site skyscraper, which contains pictures and general information about this building.
